He's half Swedish, half Portuguese, and resides in Bali, Indonesia. Crille Rask, better known by many by his Instagram tag of @raskal, is a well known face on the longboard circuit as a surfer, designer, photographer and businessman. He's an extensive traveller, and his work is inspired by the variety of places, waves and people he's met on his travels around the world. He's previously undertaken design work with several top brands including the Billy Bones Club, for whom he is also an ambassador. Crille has been riding and shooting for us at Macho Fins for several years now after we met at Gliding Barnacles festival in Portugal back in 2018. We're stoked to be collaborating with him on this, our first Limited Edition fin.
As a Limited Edition fin, each and every fin in this collection has been individually numbered, by hand, by Gonzalo - master fin maker. There are no repeats and no extras. If you get your hands on one of these fins, you have one of only 24 in the world to have been produced in our family workshop in Northern Spain.
We have ensured that we have used only the best quality printed fibreglass, printed by Boardlams in California and shipped to us to use in these fins. The quality of the print and the details in the rustic style of hand that Crille has used in his design are beautifully clear, despite having 19 layers of clear fibreglass on each side of the design. And with no dye used in the process, the fins are translucent beyond the design, like our Glass Raw fins. As the printed layer forms the central layer of the lay up, it is integral to the fin's composition and as a result there is no risk of the design fading or wearing with time - these fins are 100% surfable just like any other of our fins.
